デュッセルドルフ - 2009年6月4日 - E-Plus GroupとFONは、このたび、ドイツにおけるFONネットワークの拡大を目指し提携を発表いたしました。本提携はFONにとって初の携帯キャリアとのパートナーシップとなり、両社はWiFi対応デバイスの普及に伴い上昇しているWiFiニーズを協同で支えていく予定です。

今月より、FONとE-Plus Groupは「City FON」キャンペーンによるコラボレーションを開始します。まずはドイツ大都市の中心地に位置する約300店舗のE-PlusショップをFONスポット化し、全FONメンバーへWiFiでの高速モバイルデータ通信を可能とします。また、年内までにその他E-Plusショップやパートナー店舗へのFONスポット展開も実施予定です。更に、当キャンペーンの一環でFONとE-Plus Groupは都心部の繁華街などにあるカフェやレストランのFONスポット化を図ります。上記に加えE-Plusによる当社加入者へのFONプロモーションにより、ドイツにおけるFONネットワークの拡大が大いに期待されます。

E-Plus加入者は、FONが提供するトライアルオファーに参加することが可能となります。当トライアルに参加すると、2009年9月1日まで世界中のFONスポットにて無料でWiFiアクセスが可能となります。また、最新のマルチメディアFONルーター「Fonera 2.0」を含むFONルーターを割引価格で購入することが可能となります。

DUSSELDORF - June 4, 2009 - The E-Plus Group this week has become the first pure mobile operator to collaborate with FON, the world's largest WiFi community. The E-Plus Group will actively support the ongoing expansion of the FON network throughout Germany. The cooperation is designed to benefit both companies as the demand for WiFi and the use of WiFi enabled gadgets continues to increase.

Beginning this month, FON and the E-Plus Group will start the collaboration off with a "City FON" campaign. At least 300 E-Plus Shops in large German city centers will become FON hotspots, and offer all FON members, also known as Foneros, a quick WiFi connection for their mobile data communication. Additional E-Plus shops and partner shops will be added throughout the year. FON and the E-Plus Group will also invite coffee shops and restaurants in high traffic city centers to become part of the FON Spot promotion. These initiatives together with E-Plus promoting FON to their customers will boost the FON network significantly in Germany in the next coming years.

E-Plus customers can take part in a FON supported trial offer. E-Plus customers who sign up for the trial will receive free WiFi Access in the FON network until September 1, 2009. In addition customers of the E-Plus Group brands will get the opportunity to buy the FON routers at significant discounts, including the brand new multimedia FON router "Fonera 2.0".
