鮮やかな世界観が純粋な感情を呼び起こす。VINCI×MEDEL GALLERY SHU企画第4弾「アンミヒョン展」

MEDEL GALLERY SHUでは、4月29日(金)から5月7日(水)まで、AHN MIYEUNの個展を開催します。本展は、韓国のコンテンポラリーギャラリーであるGallery VINCIの協力により実現された、韓国のアートシーンの勢いを感じられるイベントです。このイベントは5部構成で、2つのグループ展「The Rising Tide of Korean Artistry」と、3つの個展「クォン・ニウン」展、「AHN MIYEUN」展、「LEE JUNGMIN」展が行われます。
AHN MIYEUNの個展はその第4弾にあたります。自由な筆致とカラフルでポップな画面が特徴の作品は、身近な風景をファンタジックに描き出しています。プリミティブな筆致で表現されMIYEUNの世界は、非常に親しみやすく、日常の小さな事柄に目を向けることで自然と内省を促します。 大きな世界に対する小さな抵抗とも言えるかもしれません。だからこそ一人ひとりが自分の世界を創造し、その中に愛を見出すことが出来るのかもしれません。

アーティストステイトメント

AHN MIYEUNの創作世界は、人間が生きていく上で大切なものは何かという問いから始まる。これに対する意見はさまざまだろうが、作家は愛、幸福、勇気という根源的な言葉に深い愛情を抱いています。
作品には、さまざまな事象に見合った動植物の表情や動きが描かれており、キャンバスの上で、彼らは互いに歌い踊り、それぞれの空間で思考し、物語を創作してその存在を明らかにしています。
子犬、ウサギ、魚、鳥などは、作家が愛情を込めて育てたペットやオブジェです。動物たちは一緒に暮らしながら、人間と同じようにそれぞれの生活やパターン、感情を持っていて、それゆえ、彼らは作家の友人、他者、自己の内なる潜在意識、あるいは作家の感情表現として擬人化され、作品に現われています。
その一方で、作家は常に、実体験や経験から生じる様々な感情の変化を作品を通してを表現を試みます。純愛、喜び、悲しみなど、誰もが普遍的に感じることのできる感情を、作家の目を通して物語的な解釈やストーリーの構成で表出させています。特に、作家の心の中に潜む数々の感情のリアリティは、自然現象や造形を通して表現され、作品の中で刻々と変化する自然の背景によって、私たちの感情は常に固定されたものではなく、外的あるいは内的な反応によって変化するものであることを視覚的に示そうとしています。
このような感情の自然なリズムが、太陽光のような暖かみのあるカラフルな色彩を通して豊かに展開されています。
最後に、作者の世界観がキャンバスの上で止まっているのではなく、誰かの新しい世界へとつながっていくことを願っています。

Artist Ahn Mi-yeu's creative world begins with a question of what are the important things in human life? Opinions on this may vary, but the artist has a deep affection for the fundamental words love, happiness, and courage.
In the work, the expressions and movements of animals and plants that match various phenomena are shown. On the canvas, they sing and dance with each other, think in their own spaces, and create stories to reveal their existence. Puppies, rabbits, fish, and birds are pets that the artist has raised or objects with affection. While living together, animals have their own lives and patterns and emotions like humans. Therefore, they personify and appear as the artist's friends, the other, the self's inner latent consciousness, or the artist's emotional representation in the work.
On the other hand, the artist always tries to show various changes of emotions arising from real life experiences and experiences through her work. Emotions that can be felt universally by anyone, such as pure love, joy, and sadness, are expressed in the structure of narrative interpretation and story through the eyes of the artist. In particular, the realities of numerous emotions nestled in the artist's mind are expressed through natural phenomena and shapes, and the ever-changing natural backgrounds in the work try to visually show that our emotions are not always fixed and change due to external or internal reactions. The natural rhythm of these emotions is unfolding in abundance through colorful colors that are warm like sunlight.
Finally, it is hoped that the artist's worldview will not be stationary on the canvas, but will lead to someone's new world.
